John McCain Deserves Criticism, Not Sympathy or Admiration

John McCain deserves severe criticism more than he deserves sympathy or admiration. Yesterday, John McCain, despite his announced diagnosis of brain cancer and resulting hospitalization, returned from his home state of Arizona to cast his vote in the U.S. Senate to go forward with the legislative process of repealing Obamacare. Or, as CNN’s Stephen Collinson wrote

RNC Applauds Security Longer Than They Remained Silent for Deaths

The delegates at the Republican National Convention applauded for the security – ironically, perhaps the only men allowed to be carrying guns during the convention – for much longer than Reince Priebus’s declared “moment of silence” for the slain officers. So, a very quick, brief moment of silence is given to officers who were slain by deadly weapons. Then the men keeping the delegates at the convention safe, perhaps (almost certainly) carrying deadly weapons receive a long, loud round of applause.

TED CRUZ DROPS OUT

Let me wake up the criminal Cruz Crew. We’re talking about a religious, evangelical zealot that puts Mike Huckabee to God’s shame. Ted Cruz is ignorant, a literal unconstitutional conservative hiding behind the constitution itself, a document he’s probably read as many times as he’s read his hypocritical Holy book: zero times. He’s been playing with the minds of voters like a psychopathic freak since day one of his campaign, falsely comparing himself to Ronald Reagan (who wouldn’t be able to classify himself as a Republican in this modern day, strained Five Ring Republican Circus) and repeatedly calling voters that were openly for other candidates to “inform” them that their candidate was dropping out and that they should vote for, you guessed it, Ted Cruz.

The Hypocrisy of News Media

What I hate about journalism is how easy it is to corrupt with garbage in the form of bias, inaccuracy, and just overall stupidity. What I hate even more would be how quickly people fall for such garbage. What I hate the most would be how modern day attention spans are so short and people tend to be so stupid that important events that should shake the playing field are forgotten about in less than a week and non-important ones are exaggerated and remembered years later. Some can say it is the news itself, which focusing more and more on worthless data while sliding important details in that stupid scrolling bar nobody reads at the bottom of the screen and oftentimes ignoring it entirely.

The Hypocrisy of the GOP

“Republicans approve of the American farmer, but they are willing to help him go broke. They stand four-square for the American home–but not for housing. They are strong for labor–but they are stronger for restricting labor’s rights. They favor minimum wage–the smaller the minimum wage the better. They endorse educational opportunity for all–but they won’t spend money for teachers or for schools. They think modern medical care and hospitals are fine–for people who can afford them. They consider electrical power a great blessing–but only when the private power companies get their rake-off. They think American standard of living is a fine thing–so long as it doesn’t spread to all the people. And they admire of Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it.”
