Hillary's Health

Hillary’s Health (and Other Presidents…)

Let me explain Hillary’s Health in a historical sense. The concept of attacking a presidential candidate over their physical (or in Trump’s case, mental) health isn’t something new. However, if you take a look at American history, it hasn’t been quite uncommon for presidents and vice presidents to make their way to the White House with incredible ailments you wouldn’t believe of.

The 2016 Democratic Party Platform Draft

The 2016 Democratic Party Platform’s latest initial draft has been announced, and you can read it and download it here. I encourage everyone to read the thirty nine page draft. We may be entering a Second Gilded Age; but that will be determined by what ideology wins over the core of the Democratic Party and who wins the White House this November.

Who Will The Cruz Crew Cruise To Next?

Now that evangelical Ted Cruz is out of the Republican race, we have to wonder where all that support will go. With 546 delegates claimed by the Cruz camp and the Republican nomination down to the presumptive and destructive Donald Trump and 1-for-38 John Kasich, the Cruz camp is going to have to go somewhere.

Huckabee & O'Malley End Their Campaigns

They couldn’t really keep the attention of either of their political platforms. Democrats were too busy “Feeling the Bern” or standing with “Her” to notice the small-state governor begging for attention in the corner. Huckabee, on the other hand, fell quickly. He was proud to be in the top three when there was only five candidates on the Republican side. Then, after the clown car of the GOP filled quickly, he was quickly sent down to the kiddie table debates with the candidates that don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell. Rand Paul, when isolated to kiddie table land, decided to skip the debate entirely. Huckabee, on the other hand, just made a fool out of himself.

Pastor in Chief Wins Iowa Caucus

Congratulations, Iowa. Your caucus continues to leave a trend. You picked Huckabee in 2008, you picked Santorum in 2012, and you picked Cruz in 2016. All three are just sad, pathetic excuses of candidates. Ones that have no real political foundation because they have a problem with mixing religion and politics in a secular nation. It’s a good thing the Iowa Caucus really doesn’t matter at all: because you didn’t pick a commander in chief. You chose, for the third year in a row, a pastor in chief.

A Review of Obama’s Last State of the Union Address

For Obama and Biden, bittersweet nostalgia had to have been present. They’ve been doing this for eight years now, and this is their last. But now, they’ve made it to the final stretch – the last flight of stairs in the peak of their careers. For Obama, this is his final year as President. What he does after this is up to him – whether he intends on going back to Chicago or developing his narratives – but the journey as President is almost over.

The Hypocrisy of the GOP

“Republicans approve of the American farmer, but they are willing to help him go broke. They stand four-square for the American home–but not for housing. They are strong for labor–but they are stronger for restricting labor’s rights. They favor minimum wage–the smaller the minimum wage the better. They endorse educational opportunity for all–but they won’t spend money for teachers or for schools. They think modern medical care and hospitals are fine–for people who can afford them. They consider electrical power a great blessing–but only when the private power companies get their rake-off. They think American standard of living is a fine thing–so long as it doesn’t spread to all the people. And they admire of Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it.”
