Let’s look at China, the so-called “up and coming” economic powerhouse that is managing to produce more of the world’s equipment and goods than just about anywhere else. China joined the internet party in May of 1989, sporadically taking it down and randomly bringing it back until April 20th, 1994 when it permanently became a part of the Chinese lifestyle. As population rises, so does the internet’s level of usage. By 2008, China became the largest population on the internet itself.
We see articles about the bored sociopath Kanye West and his egotistical whore of a wife Kim Kardashian almost every single day. We see articles about Hillary Clinton’s “favorite emoticons” rather than her political platforms. We see articles concerning celebrities doing literally absolutely nothing instead of warfare and plague. We ignore the things that actually matter in favor of catching up on modern culture and media propaganda!
From cellular phones to personal computers, humanity is becoming dependent upon technology. Clunky encyclopedias are outdated within a year while the internet is updated constantly. Newspapers line bird cages and litter the streets while colorful apps alert us every hour on the hour. Less people are clocking in for the six o’clock news while more people get their news from more trustworthy social media applications. The way we get our information is steadily becoming less traditional and more technological!
