A Message From A Sanders Supporter Who Will Vote For Clinton

Let me say it loud and clear: Hillary Clinton is his election’s Woodrow Wilson at this moment. A candidate who personally is not as progressive as you would like to think, but would literally listen to a progressive movement in order to keep her party happy. But, if Bernie Sanders were to either run as an Independent (which he won’t), be written in by his #BernieOrBust fans, or let his voters refuse to vote for a Clinton campaign — the election would be swapped. Clinton would no longer be the victorious Wilson, she would be left in the dust with a low turn out rate or split vote as the 2016 equivalent to William Howard Taft.

The Clam Fossil Story

For the next six months, I was an archeologist. I went out nearly every day in search of treasure in the form of these strange rocks. I hung a medium-sized bucket from my precious bike’s handlebars and filled it up several times each day. Some of these rocks were big, even larger than my hand. Some of them were small, barely fitting within the palm of my hand. But they all interested me more than I could express to anyone.

The Third Wave: A Social Experiment

Let me introduce you to The Third Wave, a social experiment that took place in a Californian high school during April of 1967. High school history teacher Ron Jones found it difficult to answer the question “How did the Germans not realize what the Nazis were doing during the Second World War?” His students, your typical 15-year-old sophomores within a contemporary world history class, could not grasp the idea that the Germans claimed ignorance when it came to the extermination of the Jewish people within the Holocaust. Lost for words, Mr. Jones decided to demonstrate it to his students.

Cruz/Fiorina: A Desperate Cry For Help

Cruz himself has admitted that there is absolutely no mathematical path to victory when it comes to this election, and that he is literally hoping to steal the election in a Republican contested convention this summer. He’s desperately trying to pick up as many remaining votes as possible, in an attempt to sway female conservatives and brain-dead, far-right evangelicals who were considering to bail ship and vote for Trump. It’s a thinly veiled cloud of desperation from the Cruz camp, picking a candidate incredibly close to his ideals as a last ditch effort to get attention in the late primary cycle. Let me break it easily for Cruz: it doesn’t matter what he does, it’s far too late.

L-Mao: China’s Internet

Let’s look at China, the so-called “up and coming” economic powerhouse that is managing to produce more of the world’s equipment and goods than just about anywhere else. China joined the internet party in May of 1989, sporadically taking it down and randomly bringing it back until April 20th, 1994 when it permanently became a part of the Chinese lifestyle. As population rises, so does the internet’s level of usage. By 2008, China became the largest population on the internet itself.

The Chronicles of Climate Change: Humans Hurt the Earth

We live in a rather destruction period of humanity. We are currently witnessing massive changes in global and regional climate patterns, and we’ve been ignoring it since the mid-20th century despite accumulating amounts of evidence and statistics that should severely shock us. We have holes ripping into the O-Zone layer, which protects us from harmful UV sun rays, right above our Arctic and Antarctic regions – causing meltdowns which lead to higher water levels and crises revolving around entire animal groups. Yet we still have climate change deniers.

John Kasich

Cruz and Kasich: A New Alliance

This last ditch effort to lead the Republican Party to a contested convention was announced by both Cruz and Kasich within mere minutes of each other. According to their statements, Cruz is focusing his efforts on Indiana, the home of the second iteration of the Ku Klux Klan and a severely important Republican platform with 57 delegates up for grab, while Kasich hones in on Oregon and New Mexico – two states that equal 52 delegates on the conservative’s side (28 in the former and 24 in the latter).

Book Review: The Guns of the South

Very interesting, very questioning, and overall a fantastic merge of pure fiction and an alternative perspective for what might have taken place had the South gotten a hold of machinery and weaponry more powerful than the Union. There are very few moments that make me question the time period — showing lots of research on the Civil War and the society that functioned within it. But, hardcore historians have to realize that this is a work of fiction — sci-fi time travelling mixed with mind blowing alternate detail.

World War II: France vs Germany

On September 1st, 1939, sixty three German divisions and over 2,000 planes advance into Poland. The German’s armor make them entirely unstoppable. London and Paris are entirely furious at Hitler’s advancement. The ideas of the Treaty of Versailles and the laws set down after The Great War had been ignored. On September 3rd, 1939, war is declared against Germany — although the assemblies were not unanimous towards the idea of war at the time. The atmosphere wasn’t as enthusiastic as the first war during these assemblies. According to many, the people of Britain and France were concerned with what was happening before their eyes.

Andrew Jackson: Democratic President?

He is, in many opinions, one of the worst presidents of American history due to the sheer qualities of his presidency. A slave owner, an advocate for slavery itself, and behind the immoral and practical genocide of the Native American tribes, Andrew Jackson was a rather heavy-handed and cold-hearted President. But, we don’t recall him in general history as this. We remember him as a ‘war hero’, a man who beat his failed assassin to death with his cane. We remember a cruel bastard as “America’s Badass”.
