State Department Warns That No One On Earth Finds You Attractive

The United States State Department recently attempted to “stay hip” while “informing the general public” through a string of incredibly awkward and rather offensive tweets on their social media platform. It almost seems as if an unpaid intern just decided to say “fuck it” and gave up his prestigious position ghostwriting the State Department’s Twitter account in order to send out awkward Spring Break tips. And when I say AWKWARD, I really mean AWKWARD.

Artistic Foundations of Theology

From artistic animalism of tribes that had only just recently banded together to the portrayal of what mattered most to man within Neanderthal-esque cave paintings to the theology of Christian works of artistic ingenuity within the Byzantine chapels; many forms of art directly relate to humanity’s primitive ways of seeking faith and meditation.

The Dark Side of Capitalism: ‘We Want Your Soul’

We live in a society that applauds war crimes but has skepticism towards healthcare. We live in a society that worries about people starving to death, yet lets corporations throw away thousands of pounds a food every day because they weren’t sold on time. We live in a society that is so greatly worried about resource management, yet allows oil companies to rob our environment of both life and resources. We live in a society that hates the idea of abortion yet also hates the idea of giving everyone the basic needs of life.

Introducing the Alternative Right

The Alt Right exists primarily in blogs, podcasts, and social media storms. The ideology is blatantly far-right (almost to the point of fascism). Members of the movement include extreme and incredibly far-right libertarians, critics of immigration reform in America, and “intellectual racists” that refuse to call themselves anti-Semites and prefer the term “race realists”. They completely oppose multiculturalism and have a white supremacist concept for American politics.

The South: Bernie Sanders is NOT Barack Obama

Barack Obama won a majority of the south, which equals a lot of delegates. Bernie Sanders did not win a single state in the south. You can call these states “conservative states that don’t matter” all you want; they still equal a lot of delegates in the Democratic primaries despite oftentimes going red in the general.

The #FlyingWhileBlack Conspiracy

On Friday, March 25th, Imani Cezanne, a self-proclaimed poet and activist, got on board an American Airlines plane to fly to Atlanta. After an apparent skirmish with a flight attendant, she found herself removed from the plane and consequently banned from ever flying on the airline again. Cezanne, fuming with anger, immediately went to Twitter to start up a thread of what has been labeled as “flying while black”…among many other things.

Cuban Mistress Crisis: Hypocritical Ted Cruz

If you have ever thought of Ted Cruz having a sex life, I greatly pity you. However, the National Enquirer recently alleged that the corrupt conservative has had up to five extramarital affairs. Titled “A HOOKER, A TEACHER & COWORKERS”, the National Enquirer boldly proclaimed that presidential candidate and Texan Senator Ted Cruz has a hidden sex life that greatly goes against the extremist Christian foundations he claims to base his life on.

BREAKING NEWS: Terror in Brussels

A series of explosions throughout Brussels have killed multiple people. Two blasts occurred at the city’s airport at around eight am local time, killing at least ten people and injuring thirty more. Another blast at a subway station, near the European Union offices, came shortly afterwards. All metro stations in the city have been closed, and Belgium is now under lock down.

Me, Myself, and I Don’t Agree With Ben Widdicombe.

We live in a fantastic age for journalism. One where we can pick up fine letter print in the form of a tablet, read news off of cellular devices, and get up-to-date breaking news as irritating little buzzes on our hips. Sometimes the news isn’t that great, though. An article titled “What Happens When Millennials Run the Workplace?” was posted by Ben Widdicombe on the New York Times not too long ago. I have a better title for you, Ben: “What Happens When A Member of Generation X Tries To Write About Millennials?”

Five Empires That Were Close to World Domination

When we think of world domination, we oftentimes think of countries that have strongholds on land mass. How much of the world has been painted with their flag? While this won’t necessarily be the perfect explanation for what the empires stood for or accomplished, it’ll be interesting to see what nations had at least the slightest chance to dominate the world in one form or another. There are thousands of empires to choose from, so I’m going to focus on five of them.
